The Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council solicits grant proposals for Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) projects in Florida. The intent of this grant program is to provide funding to Florida Cooperative Invasive Species Management Areas (CISMAs) who will advance the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council (FLEPPC) and the Florida Invasive Species Partnership (FISP) missions through partnership led efforts (e.g. events, workshops, workdays, outreach, etc.), which focus on non-native invasive plants and their impacts on the natural areas and economy of Florida. Proposals are accepted from individuals, public or private nonprofit organizations, and academic institutions on behalf of all Florida CISMAs as shown on www.floridainvasives.org/cismas.html. For 2017, winners will be announced via the FLEPPC listserv and FLCISMA listserv in April 2017 and will have 12 months to complete the project (through April 2018). Grant recipients are expected to present their project at the FLEPPC symposium as an oral presentation or a poster, or submit a manuscript for publication in Wildland Weeds magazine, as part of the fulfillment requirements.
Deadline for proposal submission is 5:00pm, Friday, February 17, 2017.

Grant proposals are evaluated by the FLEPPC/FISP CISMA Grant Committee. The committee will proof brochures, posters, articles, and other products before distribution.
